broken air conditioning limited water

the staff could have been better. when i reported that the air conditioning wasn't working in my room on the top floor, nothing was done to fix it.. also, i was surprised to find that water is only provided in the room on the first day. mediocre breakfast was also a letdown.

modern style good lighting ample space

the recent updates gave the hotel a modern style, which i liked a lot. the room had good lighting and counter space in the bathroom, very useful. there was a separate walk-in shower, though i noticed a lack of towel hooks. i found a lot of closet space for clothes. a luggage rack and two couches.

the window wasn't soundproof, and i could hear staff talking early in the morning

the location is in the center, close to the riverside area. many restaurants are around the hotel, with access. it's close to the dom luis bridge and the river walk area, with options for exploring.

the breakfast offered a variety of options, from different breads to fruits and cereals. numerous selections are displayed each morning. there are many reasonably priced restaurants located next door, if you want another meal option.

the room had air conditioning that worked well. i had lots of closet space for clothes. the mattress seemed thin at first, but it was surprisingly comfortable for sleeping. the bathroom provided good lighting and useful counter space.

a pleasant stay, some minor issues

excellent location clean room friendly staff unavailable ice intermittent wifi sewage smell

The location was excellent, very close to the river. the room was clean and well-kept daily by the housekeeping staff. staff members were friendly and helpful. They gave us a welcome glass of port upon arrival.

There was no ice available , a slight inconvenience. the wifi connection was intermittent and quite poor. one morning, i noticed a sewage smell coming through the drains in the room. It was not very pleasant.
